I can get you your very own DJ gear

In the past few weeks I've been blessed enough to be an employee @ La's very first DJ Shop, Astro. Every West Coast DJ you can think of has bought there gear from this shop.

Touring with Pigeon I've ran into many of those DJ's (no name drops) and Astro has came up. It's always the same comment..(Oh yeah, I know that spot. I got my first Turntables there!)and they never stopped coming back.

If you need DJ equipment I got it! hit me up.

Remembering Nashville hip hop Legends circa (1993-1996) pt.1

I remember growing up and my early childhood friend Charles saying his cousin was Nashville Rap Legend Pistol. Pistol had a rep. in
Nashville for being the real deal.. all the songs content matter was what he lived 9-5. I believed my friend Charles and
what was said about Pistol being the real deal.

Another legend I had always seen on flyers and opening spots with Memphis legends 3-6 Mafia was Kingpin Skinny Pimp. I remember
day after day during the summers "Hazed" outta my mind listening to his music with my friend Daniel and his older brother David. Not sure if he was native to Nash
but with his rep. there he might as well had been. I also wonder if Ludacris's character in Hustle & Flow was based off Kingpin?

3-6 Mafia was a crucial part of my childhood and love for hip hop music. This jam was the "Sizurrp song" before they did the "sizzurrp" song.

in 95 Nashville got it first "chilled" hip hop artist Count Bass D. Count had the freshest rhymes and beats, and all-out made me feel proud he was in Nashville. He also
hosted a vanderbilt radio show called 911 emergency with stones throws Egon, alongside Kentuckys DJ Jon Doe. They pretty much brought the whole Hip Hop coulture to
Nashville and laid the foundation to my music and love for the art form.

DJ History (Pt. 1 "Battles")

In 1987 this DJ won the world DMC championships in London. His name is Chad Jackson. Dj'n as a competition on a "commercial" level had only been in effect for a few years. By now dj's started using "gimmicks" to entertain the crowd.

21 years later you have dj's who can entertain the crowd, but also be on beat without having to pull to many "gimmicks". Check out 2008s World DMC champion DJ Fly
